Salt Marsh Wetlands: Salt marsh wetlands in this area will be expanded, protected, enhanced and maintained.

Seasonal Wetland: A seasonal wetland will be constructed in this area, and protected and maintained at no expense to the City.

Buffers: Large buffer areas will surround natural resource areas on the site to provide even more protection and additional natural habitat.

Eucalyptus ESHA: Eucalyptus trees have been designated as Environmentally Sensitive Habitat Areas and will be protected and preserved as habitat for birds of prey.

Vista Point: Views of Parkside Estates' natural resource areas and much of the Bolsa Chica restoration area can be enjoyed from this Vista Point.

VFPF: The "Vegetated Flood Protection Feature" is a new levee that will stop potential tidal flooding from the Bolsa Chica restoration area's Tidal Pocket before it can flood up to 800 neighboring homes.

NATURAL TREATMENT SYSTEM: Using the cleaning power of a natural wetland, the Natural Treatment System will treat urban runoff that currently reaches Huntington Harbour and the ocean untreated.

Public Trails: An improved bike trail on the levee alongside Parkside Estates and a system of trails within the neighborhood will improve public access to the Bolsa Chica restoration area and the beach.

Parks: A passive park will display native habitat and an active park will provide recreational opportunities. A trail from the active park will connect to the bike trail on the south side of the property.

Residences: New homes will offer the latest energy-saving and design features in a beautiful location near Bolsa Chica and the beach.

Rigorous scientific studies and input from the community, the City of Huntington Beach and the Coastal Commission have resulted in refinements to the Parkside Estates plan.
